If you buy FieldRunners and load the hacked save before you begin trying to do a9lh (say you're at 9.6-10.7 where ctr httpwn works and you can still downgrade, so you get to 9.2 then install the save), and you end up updating to 11.0, you'd be able to use FieldRunners to downgrade your native firm and try again, right?
When I DSiWare Downgraded, I set up a newly formatted sysNAND with Fieldrunners + hacked save installed, and ONLY that. That way I was able to transfer that over, and have only fieldrunners on the n3ds I was hacking. I didn't bother formatting before downgrading to 9.2 because worst case I would have to update to 11.0 if it failed, but then I would still have fieldrunners exploit to try downgrading again.

I've bricked 2.
I have a bunch of 3ds's so I tend to take more risks than most people. I sent one brick off to be modded and fixed the other one myself.

I've never bricked a non-hardmodded 3DS by corrupting NAND before. However, I have damaged 3DS's trying to take them apart. I've killed 3 so far this way.

1. i broke it by causing a bootrom error by accidentally burning a trace off with my soldering iron.

0 or none was a difficult option to add. And +6 why? Except developers, weird

My 3ds never bricked, downgraded from 9.2, Im afraid of ah9l, thats it. 0 problems

Same here. Finally broke down when I saw Plailect's updated guide and bought the SM3DL bundle (regular n3ds). But I'm doing my daughter's japanese o3DS LL soon. That should be interesting.
I did mine a couple months ago before the update, and while it took me practically all day (partially because I made way too many backups out of nervousness) it was fairly easy.

I remember back in my day, when we had to hex edit the n3ds backup itself. No fancy OTP Helper or python script, just you, your backup, your hex editor, and prayer :^)
I wanna buy a trashed but working n3DS and try doing this for fun sometime.

Zero. Everything worked perfectly when upgrading to A9LH. It was a bit nerve racking, but it was worth it. And to this day I'm so glad it works and I'm grateful I don't have to go through the process again.
