Hacking How good is the homebrew compatibility?

One of the main reasons I'm wanting to get a DS Slot-1 Flashcart is due to the fact that I've always wanted to play SNES games on the go. I have to say, based on the review, the R4 seems like the best contender out there, but I want to know how good its homebrew compatibility. Does anybody know how good the compatibility is as of the latest update? Or if it sucks, can one direct me to a different flashcart to think about? Thanks in advance.

As long as the homebrew supports DLDI, homebrew compatibility is pretty much 100%

At this moment, lots of homebrew support DLDI, such as SNEmulDS (SNES Emulator), DSOrganize, Moon Shell, etc so the R4's homebrew compatibility is very strong

Anything with dldi should work

snes emus work fine on it, if you pick the right one

SNEmulDS is the best SNES emulator for the DS but not all games work 100% you might want to check out the Compatibility List.

Most of the (often used) homebrew games and applications are in there. Not everything was tested with the latest FW though.

No. Its due to DLDI, which means most DLDI compatible carts have almost identical compatibility.

It varies quite a bit, but I'd say on average they're under a mb.

Also, NDStation isn't really a homebrew application.

no, ndstation is a computer application that can convert gba files to .nds files, but the files will only play if you have a slot 2 adapter such as the ezflash 3-in-1.

also, the .nds files themselves for homebrew are usually under a megabyte, but there is sometimes a folder where running information is stored (such as dsorganize) that can be a few megabytes.

But take for example Rudolph's 3in1 Tool. It only supports soft reset on 3 devices, among which is the R4.

I don't think the addition of one feature on one homebrew application justifies giving people the wrong idea about homebrew compatibility.
