So the right speaker on my Switch recently stopped working completely. I purchased an extended warranty through the retailer I bought the system from (GameStop) and they said it'd be no problem to replace it. However, I don't think they'll want to deal with CFW and might not accept the console. With that said, how can I purge my Switch of CFW? I'm currently on 7.0.1 running the latest version of Atmosphere, for reference.

Restore a NAND backup that was created BEFORE any CFW was ever installed on the device.
Will this also wipe my MicroSD card? Because I plan on installing CFW onto the replacement console, if it's Fusee Gelee vulnerable, and would prefer not to go through the whole process of installing homebrew programs again.

CFW isn't installed onto the system, it's all housed on your SD card. If you return it there's no way for them to tell you used CFW unless they dig into the onboard storage for logs and stuff. I doubt GameStop is gonna do that.

Doing a NAND restore will onlly restore the NAND which is the embedded chip on your device. So no, it won't affect your SD Card. But if you're just returning this to a retailer like Gamestop/Best Buy/Target etc, then yeah you'll be fine just doing a quick wipe/reset of the system. Those turds aren't gonna check for all that. Either way though, if you're at all concerned about it then just do a NAND restore.

Ah, I didn't realise that. I thought something was also installed to NAND. Took out the MicroSd card and that did the trick, cheers!

Make sure you're not using autoRCM. Turn that off if you are. They're going to want to test the speaker (and most likely burn your fuses if you have been preserving them)

I was, and I did. Brought it in and they gave me a replacement no questions asked. And to top it all off, it happened to be a Fusee Gelee vulnerable unit! I didn't even know retailers even still had any in stock...
