I thought I was clear when I asked to shut it down REMOTELY.

How could anyone else consider it remotely if the damn console is in reach?

A client phones me up tomorrow and asks me for remote shut down on their PC and I will think they want to do it via network, and I will probably also end up with the nightmare of wake on LAN too.

The PS4 and xbone both have options for this sort of thing as well

There may also be a design case for not doing things over joy cons if it in turn maybe forces people to get up to do it that they in turn put them on charge.

Option 2. Your switch should respond to your TV state, or there is an option somewhere called "Match TV Power State". If you are playing your switch in stand mode with the joycons and have eyes like a hawk or something and can play it far enough away that you can not faceplant onto it then so it goes I guess.

I usually have my HDMI unplugged when docked. For some reason it hijacks my tv for reason.
Watching youtube on android tv one minute, next the switch is on my tv. Is been a known problem by some people. I even saw it live during a twitch stream. I wonder if anyone else has this problem.

I even used the option like you said, match tv power state. Does it mean i have to turn off tv to turn off switch? I figure if it switch input, the switch just goes to sleep.

You need to turn off the HDMI link settings in the Switch and on your tv.

As many said before, learn 2 english.
How do you shut down your Switch using your remote (controller)? And how do you remote(ly) shut down your Switch (as e.g. from the ISS)? mean completely different things.

The idea of not shutting your switch is pretty neat. As you have already all of you notice, you never be able to turn off your device, because if you do, it automaticly turns on when is fully charged. And I really like this idea. Thanks to this functionality, you can start playing your game whenever you want in just a seconds. It just had to be quick, coz if not, you rather go do something else. The system also have fantastic powersave mode, even if your battery completly drains, your game will still in the same position, until the switch is charged again and that is absoluetly incredible. These features really fits on this new Nintendo device and its philosophy of taking/playing your games absoluetly everywhere. :switch:

eh... better safe than sorry.

you can not remote turn off the console. it will only standby from the remote
the only way to FULLY SHUT the console down is pulling it from the dock and holding POWER untill you see the POWER options
other then that you will only be in STANDBY

Just wanted people to know, the issue I posted earlier in this page doesn't happen anymore. Seem maybe firmware update fixed it? Anyway, when I use my switch it turns the input automatically to view it on the tv, when i use sleep mode, it turns input back to whichever it was last using (In my case my Android tv) So I don't have the problem of it randomly taking control of my tv input anymore. :)
