How do you recompile files from a 00000005.app file?

im trying to shrink the file size of the pilotwings 64 vc injection from 44.9mb to 20.9mb by unpacking the 00000005.app file and replacing the file called rom with the pilotwings 64 rom and naming it rom. i did all of that but how do you recompile it!

you cant shrink it, you hvae to fill it back up with FF back up the the 40+mb or what ever it was because when you SHA1 and repack it will fail to install on the wii with a -1055 on the 00000005.app file, dont waist your time mate

Wrong,
the 00000005.app file can be shrunk in many ways. For N64, you can download a proper rom off the internet (which are smaller than the origional roms in the wad), rename it to ROM without an extention and put it in the 00000005.app file. For SNES wads injected into DCK2, you can hex edit the SNADNE1.667 and bring it down to 2 bytes and it will save you 4 megabytes. And for all wads you can blank out the emanual.arc saving about 2 megabytes. It CAN be done. Do not say otherwise

n64 roms are smaller? well i download zelda and that was like 32mb and the 00000005.app was also 32mb,something like that there both the same size anyway, correct me if im wrong but the roms in the wads are just that roms, the same roms which were rips and put on torrent sites. so how are they smaller?
also games like papar mario are larger in rom than in wads so there not always smaller.
