How do you not scrip screws on this thing?!

I was careful to use the correct bit and to apply pressure towards the board. However, I didn't even manage to get inside. I got owned by the third screw on the inner case, it got stripped before I could take it out.

It is far from the first screw I stripped over the times, but WTF? These have to be the worst screws in existence. I don't believe the claims of complete repair newbies being able to do this. They must be trolling.

How do you manage? And where can I get replacement screws that don't suck?

Update: the answer to my own question in the OP is to git gud. I needed a helping hand.

Yeah. These screws are a major pain in the ass without at least a moderate amount of experience with the screwdriver.

On the bright side, for the main thing I needed to fix (clicky d-pad), there's a strat I found in the darkest corners of the Internet. Surprise surprise, undoing the game card slot board doesn't require undoing the motherboard! Shouldn't forget undoing the two ribbons on that board though, and sliding it in/out of place could damage one of the cables if done hastily.

But still, please share replacement screw recommendations! It doesn't seem to be so straightforward to find screws that suck less and are the exact dimensions necessary.
