Things are so sad, I'm not even in the mood to play Super Mario Maker, tomorrow. I had more fun watching Sony's event than Nintendo's and that's not good, especially when I can't stand SONY. Nintendo dun fucked up big time and it's going to take more than a shitty eShop sale to fix this.

nintendo bombed.

tbh their directs kill any hype or surprise for E3.

even then, its just lacking hugely compared to the huge surprises sony and xbox put out.

My thoughts:
  • Remember how Nintendo said there won't be any more Mario-themed games anytime soon? Well, screw that and suck on Paper Jam and Mario Tennis because they want your money and they want it bad - here, have some more Mario, you love Mario, don't cha? Shameless, skip.
  • Triforce Heroes seems to be a result of poor multiplayer coding - it's like Four Swords's missing one Link for whatever reason, but it's a co-op game so I'll pick it up.
  • The new Metroid Prime looks like a joke, it's a barely competent pixelated mess that's nothing like what I wanted from the next Metroid game - thanks. When Metroid Prime: Hunters from the DS from almost a decade back looks better than your current gen installment, you've got issues.
  • StarFox Zero looks vaguely interesting, but it's not really visually impressive - I expected more. Hyrule Warriors Legends looks alright - it's just the Wii U game with some additional content, but it's co-op so I'll pick it up.
  • Mario Maker continues to be unimpressive to me - if this is what Reggie thinks game development is like, with him saying that it's "like a game dev training tool", he must be out of his mind - it's a glorified level editor.
  • A new Fire Emblem makes me quite happy, but where's my SMTxFire Emblem? I don't see it on the release schedule - what happened? Should I request a refund for my preorder? Is it vaporware at this point?
  • I don't see a whole lot of third-party titles there either - where are the fruits of that "partnership program" they were talking about before E3? Smoke and mirrors.
Overall, I'm not impressed, but I'm not disappointed either since my expectations were rock bottom and at least I got a few nice things out of the line-up, so I can't complain.

I like that, its actually quite funny! I could imagine Shigero Miyamoto doing the dance instead over Mario Makers release cause I think hes the only one that is hyped over it, he was giving it the biggun over at the Niti Challenge at the end result!.

Nintendo honestly deserve to fail on how little they listen to their fans requests.

Sony are the best. They listen to what people want and get it done (last guardian, ff7 remake, shenmue 3).

M8 Sony is the worst out the lot, there games are just pure shite!!! I haven't even come across one decent game yet on the PS3 to date that has actually kept me hooked right to the end! at least I have completed a Nintendo game, I can say that one at the least and know its true!

A steaming sack of wank... That is all :( Nintendo should have just stood there for an hour pointed at the camera laughed, with a banner across the bottom saying "please understand"

They were talking about main titles, not spinoffs.

I suppose even them noticed that it was completely WTF (dancing? what?) and they probably wanted to forget about it as soon as possible as well.

I was expecting some cool as shit game, but nope, it's IDOLMASTER all over the place.

To be fair, you're also a person who thinks taking the top screen off your 3DS is a great idea and a 320x240 touchscreen is a good drawing pad, so I'm not sure if your opinion can be trusted.
No Foxy that wasn't me your getting confused, that was someone else who had an avatar of half there 3DS missing lol but yes I did comment on it as well at the time cause it was funny, probably a mix up! not sure the touchscreen makes a good drawing pad though :P also no your right I can't be trusted either, I always bolt my load before I withdraw that's why I have so many kids!

Last edited by Reecey,
fucking yarn games...
This....

It's cute and all... but it isn't a game worth buying imo, its a generic 2D platform game, nothing NEW about it.

This Direct was completely absurd and they are only two titles for release in 2016, Zelda U and SMTxFE (which we know NOTHING about, i don't know japanese Nintendo... show me subtitles ffs)

Fucking awesome?

Mario Maker continues to be unimpressive to me - if this is what Reggie thinks game development is like, with him saying that it's "like a game dev training tool", he must be out of his mind - it's a glorified level editor.
Level editing(/design) is a huge part of game development. I wrote a game engine, but I'm stuck for levels to play with it.

I liked this presentation but i think it could be better, i was expecting information about nintendo nx but we will need to wait until 2016 :( I liked Hyrule warriors, Metroid Federation because of metroid prime , Pokemon SMD and xenoblade chronicles. Skylanders supercharged is a good idea, specially for powers and the amiibo feature but i dont like skylanders. Amiibos are stupid and useless but they are good furniture. Mario games are crap as they are always the same, i expect something new.

why would you expect info on the NX when they specifically said, when they first mentioned the NX, that they would not release any information on it until 2016?

This shit was fucking worse than EA's presentation. Thank god I'm not much of an animal crossing or metroid fan, I don't think I could stand that kind of rape.

That doesn't change the fact that Mario Maker is nothing like the game design process. They hand you a bunch of pre-made tools and say "make a level". You don't have to design new objects, new items, new anything. It'd be like toting Little Big Planet as a developer training tool.
