Reading the guides etc it seems to suggest that you can pause a game in mid-play save it then restart again at a later time. Perfect for SMB or Metroid that has long periods between saving.

I played around last night though and could not get it to work.

What I did...

1) Write rom to G6 with soft reset option enabled
2) Played game for a while then did the soft reset to return to G6 DS Game listing
3) Highlight game again and then press 'select' to see save backup options.

What ever combination though of SRAM-->Default, Default-->1 etc I tried when I rebooted game it just started from the beginning again.

Did I misunderstand the capabilities of the software or is there a vital step I am missing?

TIA

seems I misunderstood - more searching suggests that real-time saves only work for GBA -
