get a program that can convert videos into DPG.

I haven't looked into it in a while, but I remember batchdpg being good.

Put it on your microSD and run it from moonshell. you shouldnt need to update anything on moonshell.

In order to watch videos, download the latest version of moonshell here: http://home.att.ne.jp/blue/moonlight/ When it is finished downloading, you need to extract it using winRAR or winZIP. It should have a moonshell foller with a bunch of numbers. Open it, and you should see lots of folders. Put the folder called moonshl2 on the root (where your firmware is) of the microSD card, and drag the moonshl2.nds and moonshl2_directboot.nds to anywhere on the microSD. Now, drag yhe language select application (not the .nds one) to the root and open it. It should automaticly locate your microSD. Click ok, and select 000 by Denetsu3000. Now, delete the application. In the folder you extracted, there should be a misc tools folder. Open and and find a folder called dpgenc. Open it and select the application dpgenc. At the top should be a language selector. Select your language, and drag the video files into the window. the conversion process will start, and just wait. when it has finished, look for the .dpg video file created. Put that on your cart and eject your microSD. Put it in your acekard and boot the moonshl2.nds file. Now, search for the video and watch!

Your root is the place when you open up the memory card folder on your computer. For example, you go into my computer, open you're memory card and bingo! You're at the root.

Seriosuly, why do peple that don't have basic computer knowledge buy flash cards? It's so annoying.
