ROM Hack How Do I mod my N3DS Without Removing MicroSD?

Ok, so I have a N3DS on 11.9, but if I need to update to 11.10 I will
If I need to stay at 11.9...
Then I need to know the steps because idk what to do. The same for 11.10, obviously.
I only have my N3DS, and both of my hacked O2DS systems had the LED screen break. One can't turn on for more than a second, even while plugged in.
I own Sm4sh, but my other games can't exploit.

1. All my dad's tools got stolen
2. I don't have a way to read the micro sd. My computer is a HP Pavillion Notebook, my phone is a Samsung S6. I know my phone can't read it, pretty sure my computer can't either. I don't have anything that can be used to read it indirectly, either. I'm practically stuck either using only QR codes, the browser, or both
I also can't use real money, mostly doing this for hackmon

You can't do anything without removing the sd card.

Do you not have an sd card reader in your computer? I've never seen any modern one that doesn't have one. Of course you'll also need an sd card reader for the card but they're dirt cheap.

You need to get a micro sd carder they're only a few dollars. Again you can't do anything without putting the sd card in your computer and putting the files you need to hack the 3DS.

You need to remove the SD card to transfer files from the guide youre following to install stuff like HBL and FBI, so you will definitely need a way to read the SD card. If it was a MicroSD card inside an adapter I'd say just plug it into your phone(most phones nowadays should have one) but I don't really know if that would work. But since it's an SD card just get a reader. They're like $10 at WalMart

You can probably use the New3DS's microSD Management feature to transfer files over the network. Once the console is hacked you can install FTPD for a better method of data transfer. As for the exploit, it doesn't matter if any game you have right now is exploitable because the guide makes you install a DSiWare title anyways.

$10 would get you probably a 16 gb micro sd card with the reader. If he really has almost no money he could try ebay and just buy a reader alone for probably $2.

Just checked, my phone doesn't have a micro sd card reader or a place for an adapter, it's from like 2015(the model) so idk
Can't see an outward place for a micro sd/sd adapter on my computer either, but my dad said his computer has an adapter area, so if he has a cord(maybe) I can mod for free, no soldering or anything either.

If it has USB you can get a USB card reader.

It's possible. My Essential Phone(a non mainstream phone that came out in 2017)has no built-in SD slot or tray for it

Ah, whoops sorry. Sorta tired. Yeah most computers, recent AIOs, and laptops should have a SD slot built-in to them

This you can transfer over the network its slower but depending you can get about 2.8MB/s write at peak

FTP once installed and working is slower but its usually more stable

You can't rely on built in SD Card Management unless you read through the guide thoroughly and know it will work out - eg in ntrboot you have SafeB9SInstaller payload as boot.firm to install with, then it will endlessly loop until you take the SD card out and replace the boot.firm with Luma. You won't be able to boot the console and replace boot.firm with SD Card Management.

I think I'm probably going to get the screen fixed on my O2DS and edit game files and stuff that way, while playing the games on my N3DS XL since my mainstream old phone doesn't have a USB, SD, or MicroSD slot, and my computer only has an available (Vanilla) SD slot,and no MicroSD slot.
But, that depends. If I can somehow use the MicroSD and not have to solder or buy anything like a DS game(basically ONLY a usb if necessary), I'll just hack my N3DS instead
