how do i make an avatar

this is kinda random but i can't seem to find out how to make an avatar for my profile

how do you do it?

At the top, under the navigation, you'll see a link which says "My Controls".
When you're there, go to avatar settings.

Well most people just use a random picture they got from another source or website.
