Plug your sd to your pc and see what files you have on there, post a screenshot here of the root of the sdcard, and the folders inside apps folder.

Yes that's the only way those channels will work since Nintendo discontinued those services long ago. And now they wouldn't work for you because you have formatted the system, regardless if you do/ or don't have an internet connection..
In order to connect to wifi you need to set up an ip address for the Wii, DNS, connection type WEP or WPA etc.
So you use this sd card with the Wii, ds & 3ds?that didnt work

No, my question was why are you using the same sd card with 3 different systems?
The constant & unnecessary plugging/ unplugging of an sdcard can wear it down.. without even talking about potential issues from merging similar folders that're made & for different systems, because they're sharing the same name..
