Android How do i disable on screen keyboard?

I have a bluetooth keyboard that i use on my android tv and i dunno how to disable the onscreen keyboard when using it. It takes up Half of the TV screen and is annoying since some websites don't display things properly when i use it. I can't get it to go away and i tried everything possible. I'm almost close to just uninstalling any keyboard app i find on the system if it will work.

If TV has pure Android:
Settings, Keyboard, set to Remote Keyboard (or Wireless, or something like that.)

If TV has manufacturer Android:
Settings, Android Settings, Keyboard, set to Remote Keyboard (or Wireless, or something like that.)

I have a VIZIO Television.

If you mean my android tv, is Nvidia Shield.

Download 'null input method' on Play store. Install it, then set it as your default input method

There's no way to prevent the keyboard from showing on a standard Android configuration
