Homebrew How do I convert from rxTools 11.0 to Luma?

I probably didn't explained properly:
If you are on a New3DS above FW 9.2, you still have to downgrade to 9.2, to do the OTPless A9LH install.
That is the downgrade I was refering to. NOT the 2.1.

And, as hacking goes, it is the downgrade that has all the risk (either 2.1 CTR-transfer or 9.2 clean downgrade)


In here, you just confirm what I said,

in this case the OP already has a 3ds on 9.2 since he's running rxtools though...irrelevant either way since he said he was doing it for his sister's o3ds

no, you still have to be on 9.2, but there was some talk of it being compatible with 9.4/5 with some work i think? still takes a kernel exploit

It does work up to 9.4, the payloads have to be updated for it to work

Yes, the ctr-transfer isn't that prone to give troubles but, downgrading is downgrading.
Like Murphy's law, if things have to go wrong, they will go wrong.

I mean, even before the CTR Transfer. The only bricks I encountered where those annoying softbricks that can be avoided by formatting prior to downgrading. Since back then the EmuNAND would be formatted at that point anyway, the downgrade usually went fine.

I've got one last question about a9lh because I allready installed it on both my 3ds's, from the point that you recover your emunand. You build a new emunand and replace it with sysnand (keep a9lh), is the new emunand luma or just a recovered one like cakes or rxtools? Because it uses emunand9 I'm not sure if it uses old data from that folder.

For starters, you can remove the menuhax payload and all of the CIAs. Also, the hs app file.

You can always back the whole sd card up to your computer if thats the case
