Hello everyone, I was just wondering how do you block websites. Apparently my friends keep going on pornography websites on my PC and I want to put it to an end, seriously I can get in trouble!

How do you block websites on google chrome?

If you are worried about the websites that your children could accidentally visit while browsing, then you may want to have a look at the Kid Safe – LinkExtend extension for Google Chrome.

Everything is enabled by default but it is recommended that you disable the “Allow entering unsafe sites Option”.

You can block "a" website quite easily but it sounds like blacklisting a site is not going to do you any good- solution to blacklist other than take out the blacklist (or if you are doing it in Chrome use something else) is go somewhere else that offers the same thing and as is fairly well known the internet has a bit of it (so much so that governments that have tried blacklists have failed spectacularly).

Anyhow why block it in chrome when you can blacklist it on the PC via the hosts file- just add the domain or any notable subdomains to the filter.

http://accs-net.com/hosts/how_to_use_hosts.html is about as good as any for teaching how a hosts file works.

Generally though open it and add (replacing domain as necessary)

If you want to get really funny I believe 74.125.224.72 is google's IP address and using that will hopefully redirect the would be miscreants to google instead or if you prefer one of GBAtemp's is 88.190.23.245 but given you probably leave yourself logged in that might not be ideal if you have just deprived someone of porn.

Make a second user on your computer.
Put a password on your profile.
Put child protection on the other profile, no password.

No hindrance to you, you keep your privacy, and your friend can't watch his porn. Which honestly is just plain creepy. I had to do the same thing. Don't even make it unobvious. Embarass the shit out of your friend.

One thing I just don't understand is, why in the hell would anyone leave their friend by themselves with a PC? Especially if they're 12. For one, it's rather rude to just leave your friend alone long enough so he can fucking watch porn. Who does that?

Actually, I didn't leave him unattended, I'm on my tablet most of the time, and I don't look up. He was in the same room, as me, I was sitting down on my sofa, he says most of the time he does 'confidential stuff' and tells me to not look. I was so suspicious so I saw my History...... guess he goes to _______.com

What the fuck happened to kids these days? "I HANG OUT WITH MY FRIEND BY BEING ON MY TABLET AND NEVER LOOKING UP HURR DURR". *Sigh* I guess society is just going to shit.
That happens at a awkward situation. Plus we were about to go to the Park, to see who jumps off farther!!!!!!!! HAHA :) anyway. This isn't the case. Im gonna block those websites now.
