First, if you haven't already, place all of your .nds and .sav files into a "games" folder. Then following these steps:

1. Create a new folder at the root of your microSD card named "games2".
2. Go into your "games" folder (or wherever you keep your .nds files).
3. Do a "select all" (CTRL-A).
4. Do a "cut" (CTRL-X).
5. Go to your new "games2" folder.
6. Do a "paste" (CTRL-V).
7. Do a "select all" (CTRL-A).
8. Do a "cut" (CTRL-X).
9. Go back to your (now empty) "games" folder.
10. Do a "paste" (CTRL-V).
11. Delete your "games2" folder.

Since none of the files are actually moving off of your microSD drive, they cut/paste very quickly (it really only updates the filenames in the file table). Takes about 20 seconds.

That gets it in alphabetical order right Bri?
And if you want a specific order transfer the games in the order you want one by one.
The dstt's official firmware lists the games in the order that they were placed on the card.

Swip, yes that will put them in alphabetical order. The DSTT puts them in order placed on the card sort of. To be more accurate, it displays them in the order they appear in the filename table, which isn't always the order placed on the card (but usually is). Sometimes if you replace a file with another file it puts the new file in the same place as the previous file, particularly if they have the same filename.

@Jax: Some people swear by Fatsort but I haven't had much luck with it. It's corrupted my microSD and I've had to reformat. This method is probably just as fast and I've never had problems with it, plus you don't have to use any other software for it to work.

I believe FATsort only works on FAT16 filesystems. Cards using FAT32 will need a different utility.

My card has FAT16, and it still corrupted it. So, I still prefer the method outlined above. It's fast, simple, it won't corrupt your card, and it requires no additional software.

You could also use DriveSort which does a good job with sorting roms in alphabetical/numerical (if you use the numbering scheme i.e. 0001 - NDS Game.nds) order

@BigOnYa My dad recently bought a spare Series X off of me, got game pass, and saw Madden '24 on Game Pass, decided to try it out.

@K3Nv2 He was looking into consoles for his house anyway (for my younger siblings and himself) and I had a spare XSX and Switch I ended up selling him at pretty steep cuts. I would just give them to him, but I did buy them with the intent to sell them... and college is super expensive.
