How come characters in cartoons and anime never change their clothes?

Its something I've noticed over the years of watching TV. You wouldn't expect real life people to wear the same clothing every day unless their school or work has some sort of uniform.

Because it's, like, cartoon, and, anime. Screw logic. They never go take a dump either.

they do change, but they have a closet full of the same outfit (and there are people that do were the same thing everyday)
