Hacking HOTD 2 AND 3 NOT WORKING

been using the same medai for over 6 months now..

tried firing up HOTD 2 & 3 and it blinks green then drive keeps making making reading noise until i eventually eject disc and popup message displays saying insert HOUSE OF THE DEAD 2 & 3 Return Disc..

have also tried patching with IOS Patcher 1.1 typing in 249..

any ideas on how to get this game to load??

You might need some IOS'es. If not try the 002 error fixed version. Mine works fine with CIOSCorp installed so try that also.

For 6 months? Did you update the cIOS in the meantime? If not that's the problem. As far as i know you need the IOS Version patching to get part 2 to work, without the patching you should be able to get to some menu.

done 2 things different lately..

that was 1 install rev9 cios and install a usb loader 1.1 channel.

my other backups boot fine.. its just this game is giving me greif.. even patching to 249 with dos app ios patcher 1.1

any other suggestions?

my system version is 3.1E which ive been using from day dot..

should i be upgrading to 3.2 or 3.4 to get these games to work??

could someone please advise and where do i go to get these updates now that 4.0 is out.. game disc perhaps?

when those games are patcht properly to IOS249, these will 100% work on with the BUL.
But for some reason ISO patched to IOS249 won't run via HDD loader.
Wonder why and hope somebody could fix this issue.

Hmm, you use the same media which works for other games, check.
You installed the rev9 cIOS, check.
Did you try both Gamma and the latest SoftChip(R89)?
Is this game the last game you burned, or did you burn another game of this and that worked?

Because the games that need this patching load the IOS specified in the tmd. Even if it loads IOS249, the usb loading gets deinitalized during this process and needs reinitialisation. And this ignores the fact that the dip has to know which .iso it has to load instead of the disc. It doesn't look easy to fix to me, but i hope Waninkoko does it somehow, until now he managed other incredible stuff.

ok since my post ive fired up wanikoko downgrader 1.2 from system version 3.1E to 3.2E

reinstalled Rev9 ios. put softchip (latest) boot.dol on sd card and fired it up.. the game still refuses to load.. using 249.. 002 protection removed...

im not phased about usb anything at the moment as hotd2/3 works perfectly fine on that.. i want to be able to play it from a disc..

ive reinstalled backup loader channel with 002 fix and again nothing..

disc keeps spinning.. ive got 5 copies.. none work.. some patched with ios249. some not, some not wiibrickblocker patched, so every combination is covered..

i dumped game from usb hdd back to iso with GUI.. nothing.. again inserted my original and dumped via httpd last night so there is really no excuse why i should have a bad disc dump when ive done other discs via httpd for past 6 months.

anyone?
