He literally just said "Feb 1st", I wouldn't call that a promise.

"Life Happens". Pretty sure he's full of shit and just want's the Internet fame after tx releases their chip.

Oh people like me huh? I couldn't give two shits if he puts this out or not. Unlike most of you people here, I updated to use my switch to play games, not to sit and wait for a homebrew launcher. Same shit, different system. If I want to use a emulator, I'll use my phone, computer, or my 3DS.

My man, couldn't have put it better myself. I know people are looking forward to emulators on the switch but what's the difference from what you can't do on your psp, ps vita, 3ds or smart phone? I can understand smart phones I don't prefer some games on the touch screen but I got a control for that.

While most people won't say it the reason most people are excited are for two things to go around saying Hur dur I hacked my switch or for free games. At the point there isn't much for emulation that the switch can provide that we don't have right now. Now if if emulates PS2, GameCube, Wii then we're talking something else.

Now I know some people reading this are going to get all pissy, get over it.

I can tell you the difference: We're getting emulators on the f*cking Switch so that PSP, PS Vita and 3DS can stay at home. Is that so hard to understand?
And emulators on a smartphone? Super Mario World with touch controls? I'm not answering to that ...

It's like you're asking why anyone is using a calculator app on the smartphone because anyone already have a calculator (from school times).

Sold my PSP, Vita and 3DS. I despise gaming on a smartphone. Especially with emulation. It's shoddy at best. Your argument is on a per case basis and doesn't speak for everyone. Hell, it hardly speaks for anyone. Saying "get/use X console/hardware for emulation" is borderline mental at this point and does nothing beneficial for anybody. You like using multiple systems for menial gaming? Cool. Some of us would like to keep it to one/two systems. YOU need to get over it.

We've got a community that's ecstatic for homebrew. For emulation.. ON THE SWITCH. Why it's a difficult concept for some people to grasp? I don't know.

^ This ... pretty much.
Why are such people even participating in this subforum?

I didn't say you have to multiple systems, I was saying there are multiple systems to emulate on. You seem to argue with everyone who speaks or thinks of different of you, why is it difficult for you to understand the concept not everyone thinks like you?

You go back and forth with everyone, so why don't you get over it

Because emulating stuff on the Switch doesn't seem to be something for you at all.

Almost everyone in this forum owns (and likes) a Switch. That means is the most recent console for us and will be still in use for the next few years while PSP, Vita und most likely even the 3DS will start to collect dust at home. So why it is so hard to understand that we want the Switch to be capable of everything that the other devices were able to do as well so the one device (the Switch) we carry with us all the time does the job?
That's what made smartphones so popular: Having many things in one device.
Now we want the same for gaming: All (or at least many) gaming systems in one device.

This is the best way to put it. I have my PC for at home emulation/gaming. The Switch offers something the prior handhelds don't. Power. If we can get full access to the system, it'll be a much better option.

Butthurt - See: this thread. If people want it done, either they wait for the day or do something and make their own.
It's not like I'm not waiting, I'm just "not happy". Stop with the smart-ass "make your own" message. Noone will, not you, not the next person. We rely on him.

You have no reason to be upset. You're not entitled to anything. He owes us nothing. None of these devs/modded have to do anything for the scene.

That's not my effing problem, stop being so entitled and find something better to do like going outside or going to your job to get your mind off of this; obsessing over this ad nauseum can't be healthy.

The devs owe you nothing, and I mean nothing. Tough.

I'm not entitled to it, yeah, but I do have a reason to be upset: the fucking delay in and of itself?
I do understand that it's a personal problem, still, that doesn't stop one from being upset.

You can be upset, that's fine, but cut the whole "devs-have-to-give-this-to-me-know" bullshit charade. They owe you nothing.

Not a valid reason. You're upset over something you don't own. Over something you're not paying for. It's a sense of entitlement.. And it does nothing beneficial. He's doing this on his own time, in his personal life. You want to get upset? Then do it yourself. That's the only way you get any validity in this situation.

I pulled that once back like 9 months ago. I didn't even mention devs having to give me anything, the first message from me was "im kinda pissed". That doesn't imply that they have to give it to me (or anyone in particular), it's just the way I feel.

What does me being upset have anything to do with you? I would've been gone long ago if you wouldn't have bothered to reply to my remark. It was simply the way how I feel, it doesn't do you ANY bad.

Whatever you say, to each their own. We're better off letting people stew in their own juices for a while, it's easier that way.

You guys are salty af.

Why is it so hard to understand people get upset when something they expected to happen gets delayed?
It seems like you can only agree with positivity instead of actually express yourself.
Get off that high horse please.

I've seen so much of this going on lately. One conclusion I've reached is that, whenever something good is about to happen, something good gets released, they always happen suddenly as a surprise. Whenever some 'dev' teases something and give vague hints of staying on xxx firmware or possible release eta, it's always always a let down and full of crap. Those people are just in for the fame and attention.
