I hacked my 2dsxl a few months ago and today I accidentally formatted my SD card, and it gave me an error when i put it back in 2dsXL ,
i saw a guide saying to download the luma boot.firm back into the SD card, i have done that.
and now i can open my 2dsxl again, but what do i do next? how do i install twilight menu back? i mainly used twilight for playing my GBA and NDS roms.

Please any help is appreciated, i don't want to brick this thing. they dont sell it anymore and used ones go for like 400+

(I have my doubt that formatting an SD accidentally is possible, but that's none of my business)

You have to do stupid things on purpose to software brick a 2|3DS. The Homebrew stuff is very safe, so don't worry. Don't cut corners and keep a known good NAND backup in a safe location.

On an empty, FAT32 formatted SD (checked with h2testw or F3), this part of the guide should get everything ready again:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/restoring-updating-cfw
Continue to the finalizing part, especially copying latest boot.firm to CTRNAND, to make sure the console boots without SD as well.
==========

The official thread for TWiLight Menu++ contains links to everything. Universal updater should be able to install it.

Good luck and have fun!
