Don't have discord. Are cart save files on the cart itself or on the ds?. If it's on the ds I'll just update it so my daughter can play her game and not loose her save. She has put a lot of time into it.

If you have a cart version of the game, yes the save is on the cart, if its a installed title its on the SD card.

So upgrading firmware will not brick the 3ds but it will no longer be hacked right?

If you have B9S installed, which you said you did in post #1, you can safely update without fear of bricking or "un hacking". (Unless your on System version 2.1... or have a franken firmware.)
Nintendo can't unhack B9S with an update. Feel free to update.
I do recommend you do have a NAND backup though. Modded systems should always have one just in case.

Yea I have a NAND backup already. Ill try updating and then see if it works.

Update: Installed latest firmware update succesfully. I tried to do the finalizing setup on the 3ds guide but when I got to where I use FBI to install the cias it fails to install. Says; Failed to install CIA file.

Update 2: Bad SD card. Guess I'm gong to buy a new one.
