It is very much frowned upon though, and a bit common-sensical.

I just wanted people to know you for who you are and not confuse you with Bob Evil. We're a big family around here, and it pains me to have to change a well known username to begin with... if it's still recognizable as the member it's not so bad, capitalizing letters and stuff like that, but I like to know who I'm having fun with.
