Events Info:
Freezes happen based on events. The more gym badges you have, the less time it takes to freeze.
Badges/Events -
0: 24 events
1: 21 events
2: 15 events
3: 3 events
4+: Rumored to be unplayable.[/quote]
7 badges here, working just fine. Removed the third badge with pokesav as I got it, but I went to get it back after I had 5 badges. Takes somewhere around 60 events to freeze. (CycloDS v1.58B)

quick q, at very start of game (leaving the house for first time and seeing lyra and her marill, how many times in and out before freeze?

the website www.r4li.com says they support the old R4 (not clone) maybe get those updates

really dun wana flame or troll but let me remind u that R4 is one of the 1st flash cards that doesnt need slot 2 support on NDS and by the age of it, all it did was a real revolution.

dont compare between a pentium 2 450 and an i7.... or starcraft with starcraft 2...

they r just different ok?

No one is doubting what the R4 did for the homebrew community, however, considering we're expecting the same result from an R4 as we are from an Acekard, I think it's fair to compare them.

QUOTE(JustRob @ Mar 15 2010, 01:14 AM) guys do u think the patch is done in 2 hours?

I wouldn't get your hopes up...

So I'm playing on an AceKard and it froze while in the sea before the 5th gym.

I'm using AKAIO 1.6RC1. Am I using the correct firmware?
[And yes I know it still -freezes- but I've heard that it only happened later on? I only have 4 badges]

ok tested, went in and out of house till it crashed, maybe the new R4 site will update for this.... maybe....

Twenty four if I recall correctly.

seriously people like this. be happy you can play at all, because other flash card users can not.

Correct firmware but it only works 98% of time. Still better than the other cards

So you went and got a acekard after all Artix

Did I complain that it's not good enough?
I was just asking if I was using the correct thing, fuck off.

dang right, still, I have high hopes that a patch for the game, or a updated firmware for flashcards will come out.

one question, whats the longest its ever taken to beat AP in the past?

Okay, I know it's probably been mentioned before, but I actually have been looking and I haven't seen this... So I'm saying, just in case.

There was an AR code for No$GBA that made it work. We all know this. We also know that it doesn't work EXCEPT on No$.

My question is, do we know WHY this code only works on it, and not on flash cards?

The answer seems simple. Something in the emulator doesn't do what the ROM wants it to. The AR code may work only after a first step is taken, a step that No$ takes on its own. There's something the emulator can't do, which enables part of the AP. The other part is fixed by the AR code. In essence, there are 2 parts to this AP.

Has anyone considered this?

The next step, I think, would be to figure out what the emulator can't emulate, that's part of the AP, then take that, disable it on the flash card, and see what happens. It may be something in the BIOS that isn't totally exact, or hardware-related.

I hope this helped...

no$gba doesn't work fully even with the codes.

that code was only for getting the game to start up, it doesn't prevent the game freezing. it just solves a problem emulators have which flashcards didn't have in the first place.

don't say anything if u don't know shit plz
