pffffttttt, and people said xbox won e3 lol

I actually think they did, even a fairly nintendo centric friend of mines agrees. If you remove desires for very specific titles, Microsoft's conference was the least BS, they more or less outright told everyone how many exclusives/world premieres in advance and kept churning out the reveals rarely resorting to weird moments like playing music or having an interview that is longer than the game trailer itself. Nintendo spent way too much time on the smash segment, so when you realistically look at the # of titles that nintendo shown (and objectively remove any titles that are already on the other consoles like Fortnite and DBFZ), Nintendo's conference isn't that great.

xb1 almost zero release dates, as an owner of a xb1 i could care less about forza 4seasons or tomb raider. Fallout76 looks fun though

then its a matter of pure preference, I don't even own a Xbox One and I personally felt like Microsoft was the company who was least beating around the bush.

did it convince you of maybe picking up even a dirt cheap used xbox in the future? and order gamepass along with it?

My most used device is my gaming PC, At least for me, im definitely picking up the Ori sequel because I like metroidvania style games. Possibly looking forward to what Ninja Theory has in planned, given how well Hellblade went. May pick up crackdown 3 for some explosions itch. Other multiplat titles I'll probably eventually pick up are Metro, Sekiro, Vesperia and of course Cyberpunk but im not expecting it any time soon.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think that Nintendo did absolutely horribly, as Xenoblade is probably my favorite jrpg series and I find it great that its content addition is fairly big. My biggest gripe in the overall scheme is lack of something that feels "new". A good chuck of nintendo's offering focused on expansions of existing games, and barely touched any of the newer titles (Of the major titles that Nintendo has that are fairly unknown still, Yoshi was probably delayed, no news for Prime 4, Retro Studio's project wasn't named, and Fire emblem was the only one that really was shown).

Of the "new" titles for the switch outside of smash, the only one that piqued curiosity for me was Mario Party (as I actually liked star rush's design, but many things were missing that the switch version fixes) and Daemon X Machina which is a very niche title for mecha lovers. And octopath traveler, but it has been awhile since it was announced.

A full 60 dollar price tag seems a little odd for twewy final remix but I suppose it might just be a place holder.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
Waiting for Anbernic's rg[whatever]SP price announcement, gimme.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
