well since the version numbers aren't 21003 or 21004 it's not a d2x cIOS, so we might not know what he has installed but we know he doesn't have the best cIOS 246-250 installed

unless he changed the version number for wiiflow.

Even then, he would have had to change it to v21 for WiiFlow to work, not v65535. But u have a point, he coulda changed any cIOS\IOS's version\slot number and installed them... but chances are good he's not using a d2x cIOS.

to modify the wii. i have not changed anything since i did this last night. i have added nothing that is not on that list. so what should i do?

edit: before leaving the house today i installed the d2x 249 and 250. I also did hermes 202,222,223 and 224. I will post an updated syscheck when i get home. if you guys can think of anything else, please let me know

How about you downgrade 222 and 223 like I told you earlier. The latest release doesn't always mean the best. v4 still has better compatibility than v5/5.1

oops. i was doing this in a hurry before I had to leave for school, will fix that when i get home. any other suggestions? all installed apps are up to date as this was a fresh re-hack.

Not everything can use 236 (especially older apps). Patching IOS36 isn't as big a deal these days, but it won't hurt anything either. That was why I said "consider".

Well optimally you would want mauifrog's patched System Menu and the dip modules patched on the System Menu IOS's, but you shouldn't have a problem leaving it like it is as long as you don't do something really stupid like delete the System Menu IOS.

Ok, I sorta knew this lol. I said IOS61 because of wiishop only. However as a countermeasure in case of brick (without bootmii ios) seems quite an option.

There is nothing wrong with patching IOS36, it's still common among guides. I suggested it because the OP wanted all options, but I didn't say it was an absolute necessity. I pointed out that older apps don't use 236. 249 is supported by most (probably all) of those apps, but depending on what revision it is and base IOS it uses, 249 may not have all the patches that 36 would have.

Depending on the app, AHBPROT can be very unstable. If you use the HBC, it won't work without valid internet settings. It's certainly not a universal answer.

Patching all of your IOS's would be stupid. I don't know what kind of argument you are trying to present.
