Just a quick question???

Does anyone know how to change the text on butons so they can be displayed in English, or what program can be used to do this?

Been playing this a while and seems like a good game not to hard to follow but would look better in English.

I tried to upload some screen shots but was not able to do

Cheers any help is useful

Well I have been looking at translating some of the battle options, magic, items and such going ok so far not posted anything yet, am just testing the project myself to make sure it looks ok trying to do some of the story.

Mainly wanted to get the menu buttons translated mind

i've just looked into the rom, and I am sure that each of the buttons on the menu is all graphics, not just text, like TOI. If you understand the japanese, then try using a tile editor and edit it yourself
But when you are playing, you'll eventually memorize each one

that's how i finished the game with no translations...
(thank you Narin for the cheat database

I dunno. If the tiles don't have a wierd compression, try crystaltile or something like that. check one of Fast's post
and when looking for the buttons, why don't you extract your rom and check which are the most appropriate folder where it should be- like kind of use common sense and look for the button pics.
because like you are sure you won't find it in the script folder etc

How can I "open" the text of the ROM?? I read tutorials, but i can't open. The hexadecimal editors don't work with me. Someone can Help me, how can I open the text of this ROM? Or a good tutorial specifically to NDS and japanease roms.

Thanks!

I have not yet done any of the buttons as the programs were in japanese so I couldn't really tell what I was doing.

I have been updating the skills abilities and magic.

Added some more items, not yet released it as I have some tweaks to iron out on the battle sections.

Need the name of a good ripping program to speed the job up before I decide on a patch release.

Cheers

@K3Nv2 Snow Day is pretty fun. My only bitch would be the camera controls, when you move around, say down, you have to move the right stick left or right to get camera to turn and get your view, other than that I like it so far.

From what people say pvp isn't even worth it
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I just been playing offline, and they give you a few bots here n there on your team to help battle. I don't think it's as funny as the other games tho, more battle oriented than humor, which kinda sucks, but I'm still early in it
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, doesnt the game have a campaign mode?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea, and co-op, but you can also start a pvp session and battle just with friends. You get special skill cards (powers) the more you play. And higher value cards, but you can only enable so many cards at a time.

If you can find enough for it

Toilet paper is considered the money, you collect and buy stuff with TP, kinda funny. Graphics are def better than the other games tho, I think they used Unity 5 engine.

I bet most people at the time still watched it in black and white
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Many of them did before colour television was common.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Likely because black and white TV was in-expensive.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It certainly wasn't inexpensive it cost the same as a new car back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
How much did a 1965 color TV cost?

For example, a 21-inch (diagonal) GE color television in 1965 had an advertised price of $499, which is equal to $4,724 in today's dollars, according to the federal government's inflation calculator.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@K3Nv2, take into consideration how economy was back then
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why they listed inflation rates

    Sorry didnt read that part
