@Sword -- yes save it as WinRAR...it will actually save as a .iso file but WinRAR seems to be your default program for opening .iso files hence the reason it is been recognized as a WinRAR file.

@Melchizedek -- you basically need to follow any of the tutorials for installing a cIOS, however is you check my site you will find a cIOS Read Retry file near the top of the page just run that through the HBC. and then WiiDumper should recognize the cIOS is installed and away you go, any trouble with WiiDumper, just read this thread over...this guys been near enough hand fed instructions, good job am in a good mood.

What type/Brand disk is it exactly? Regular DVD -R (verbatim seems to be preferred) should work fine for most games.

I don't want to mess up my Wii, so I'll ask for your help one last time: I've installed the IOS51 fix to access the WiiShop channel, but I'm still on 3.2U.
WiiDumper still doesn't work (gets me back to the HBC when I try it).
I'm guessing I need to install a cIOS, but I have 2 questions:

1- Can I install a cIOS safely after having already installed the IOS51 fix?
2- Which cIOS must I install? DVDx asks for IOS254, WiiDumper says that IOS249 is needed to enable WiFi dumping, I see that some people have installed IOS247 or cIOS rev5.... Is IOS249 the latest? If so, is it the one included in Wiigator's cIOS with Read Retry Fix? If so, is it the one I must install?

you need to install the cIOS wit read retry fix

alternatively hang fire just a few more days for the release of Gamma..instead of having to do more installs

jus wait and install this package as i believe it comes witha new cIOS

you downloaded the .iso??

ok now first of all click the restart Wii button in the webpage to restart your wii back to the menu

now use the ImgBurn program to record the .iso to the dvd its simple just select "Write image to disc"

you should be able to do this yourself now mate..but i thought you was goin to do some sort of custom textures??

Yeah thanks. I should be good now. Hopefully. I accidentally downloaded the .iso on the wrong computer. It can't read dual layer discs (I think) and so I'm trying on a laptop. I also couldn't copy or extract the .iso to the SD card. Another thing is that the one error thing always comes up. I'm guessing you get the write to disc option through the imgburn program?
