Hacking Help with Wiikey

I've just received my pre-soldered Wiikey in the mail from Modchip Central. So I opened up my Wii, clipped it on, and put it back together. I then downloaded the Wiikey 1.9s update from their website, filechopped it, made it a GCOS disc, and burned it to my Memorex DVD-R disc. When I put it in my Wii, it said the disc couldn't be read. I tried doing this 4 more times, some with making it a GCOS disc, some without. I then tried to burn Mario Kart: Double Dash onto a disc to see if that would work. No luck. Am I doing something wrong here? Any help would be highly appreciated.

Also, if it matters to anyone, my Wii serial number is LU304042256.

sounds like the clip isnt on hard enough.

always best to test the chip when you still have the wii in pieces.

only other solution would be a bad solder but i doubt they would send it to you without testing it first.

Do not filechop it, or make a GCOS disc, just burn with imagburn at 2x.

Are you sure? I've heard from people that it needs to be filechopped to be about the size of a gamecube disc in order for it to work.

when i updated my wiikey to 1.9s (PAL) I downloaded it and burnt it no filechop or make a GCOS disc,
I just burnt it with imagburn at 2x. it worked 1st time.

i just realized when i put the discs in my tray that i've already burned, it says that they're 7mb. i don't think that's right...

What's wrong with posting serial numbers? If I shouldn't have it up, I can take it down. Also, I was burning at 4x.
