I think I found a solution! (not sure because I haven't tested yet, I will test it tomorrow) Remember that link to that "cro_tool.exe" tool I found? Well, I don't know whether it actually works or not, but from what I saw, it seems to solve the problem. Apparently, the "Shop.cro" file wasn't properly rehashed, which leads to a crash on the system (that's what I think at least). So, with that tool, you can actually check for the problem and then solve it by rehashing every single cro file (including the one you edited)! I will try to test if this works tomorrow, and if it does I'll try to explain in the simplest way possible.

I don't if it's D9W or PK3DS, because every time I try to open the extracted RomFS, it just doesn't load...
To extract RomFS you need to be admin of your computer, use command prompt as administrator, and use that "ctrtool" thing in order to get into RomFS. (This is using Braindump.)

KunoichiZ already explained what I was doing wrong xd I forgot the PK3DS reads the "romfsdir" and "exefsdir" from a Directory, and not directly from them. So, all I had to do was to load a folder that contained the "romfsdir" folder.

Off topic but... has anyone tried going to 11.3.0-36U? Does anything appear to be off? I'm super scared about updating because I got CFW right after 11.2.0-35U which came out many many moons ago, now that there is finally an update what measures do I take?

If you have Luma3DS + A9LH, you are safe to update. You could always do a NAND backup and restore it later :P
Here are a few posts that talk about the new update:
Update 11.3 and homebrew
3DS 11.3.0-36 out now

For SaltySD on 6.6, you need the following:

1) Patch the code.bin from the 1.1 update and place it in luma/code_sections, not luma_titles.
2) Make sure you're placing the files in SaltySD/SunMoon, and not just in SaltySD.
3. Make sure that you have "Enable region/language emu. and ext. .code" enabled in your Luma settings.

It takes the same amount of time to launch the game as you would launch any normal 3DS game. It's your code.bin and your placement of it that's giving you issues.
I keep getting the crash dump error what do i do???

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
