No idea what "green dot" is, but if you're scared to give paypal your info...you need a reality check.
Paypal is a WELL established site, and is secure as fuck (though their supprt department is full of braindead monkeys).

They won't do anything with any info, obviously. Why would they jepordize their business to knab your $10. They'd be gone if they were going to do business like that.

Just make a paypal account and set it up properly. Paypal is basically required if you ever want to securely buy anything on the internet. Practically every site supports it (Amazon excluded, they're stuck in 1999).

I s'pose.
I've been using paypal since I was 13 or 14 though. It's just really damn inconvenient without a CC...but still worth having.

A GreenDot moneycard is a sort of voucher you pay for in store. If you pay the cashier $55, then you get a code you can redeem on Paypal to put $50 on your Paypal. Redeem it, and the funds go directly into your account. (I said $55, because at the counter they charge you a $4.95 activation fee.)

Yeah, I grabbed a prepaid Visa card to activate mine. Gives you a limit on how much you can receive/send though. Until you link your bank/checking account.

Yeah but to use a lot of it's features they now require you to give various information (like photo IDs, proof of address etc).

I lied about my age when I signed up and I don't want them to know my real age hope no one from pay pal is reading this because my username here is the same as my pay pal and other sites

A company like paypal wouldn't be that unprofessional where they would scroll around forums to find information about you, Even if they did they wouldn't close your account due to lack of evidence, Would be totally unprofessional.
