I've read alot of posts about flashing the DS so I'm pretty sure I know what to do but wanna just double check. When I get my supercard and superkey I should update my supercard with the latest kernal first. Then follow the flashing guide thats posted on the forums. Does that sound right or am I missing a step or two?

The guides should tell you everything you need to know. Its only when you are doing the SL1 shortening something can go wrong, so you can try to get there first.
