I have no$gba setup to save uncompressed, I have tried a file trimmer and that doesn't work. I've also tried a hex editor to get rid of the stupid header. Why the hell would you have your file save at 137kb when the actual save is 128kb on vba and on a real gameboy advance.

If I recall correctly, you actually want to set it to "RAW" instead of Uncompressed or Compressed. Then it should be trimmable to work with VBA.

Wait wait, how does that work? And for which version? I have both no$gba v2.6a and 2.9b. I'm mentioning the versions, because they both have different header or something. I opened the save files with hex editor (same game, but different .sav files, since 2.6a and 2.9b doesn't transition well), and they had different header. Some forum says different things, so here's what I did:

I'm working with new game files, since if I can work that, then I can probably work with my other saved file.

2.6a
1. Opened no$gba.ini and changed the save type to "Raw".
2. Played a new game, and saved it after certain plot point.
3. Opened it with hex editor (HxD), and erased the first 76 characters, then saved it.
4. Opened it with VBA (v1.8.0). And nope. Didn't work.

2.9b
Same as above, and it did not work either.

What am I doing wrong?

Oh, and I tried with VBA-m as well.
