Gaming Help With Cheat Converting

So, i was going the the CHEAT.DAT file to clear it up for my R4 so more cheats would appear and i noticed the character mod codes for EBA (E). I have EBA (U) and there aren't any mod codes. so, if its possible to convert code regions (which it should be) how do you do it? if i just copy-paste the codes into the (U) versions codelist, would that work? or if anything, i'll just DL the (E) version of the game and if they're named the same, the SAV file should still work, right? (well thats what happened with my GAWC (J) to (U) version anyway, the sav still worked from (J) to (U))

to cut it short, i want the (E) chracter mod codes on the (U) version of the game. I want to do this myself so everyones favourite moogle doesn't have to and so i can help out in a way.

I'm going to try the (U) to (E) swap but i still want to convert the codes just in case this doesn't work

sometimes cheats for U work for E (or vice versa)
sometimes u can just swap regions and rename the save
sometimes both work
sometimes none work

and now game FAQS doesnt have any europe saves! ugh!
does anyone have a 100% save for EBA (E)?

if you really want to convert cheats...then just learn how to make some cheats
after learning how to... with the basic you can then proceed to convert it yourself

if you are lucky.. you don't need to do anything
if you are bad luck.. you need to change the address
the tougher one would require the help of a debugger
