So i've been trying to get CFW on my 3ds{It is an old model one. As in not even an XL}. I followed all the steps so far and am supposed to boot up Steel Diver to initiate the Homebrew launcher. But whenever I attempt it,it'll stay on a black screen requiring me to hold the power button. Does anyone have any idea what I should try doing?

dont follow that guide. i suggest you starting over and following this guide: it requires a dsiware game from the eshop (there is one free for japan and other one for usa europe no sadly :( and the page will provide you the qr code you need)

everything except the "Nintendo 3DS", "DCIM" (IF YOU HAVE IT), and "private" (IF YOU HAVE IT) folders. You can also delete the steel diver game

Hold up why? steel miner does work so why are you telling her other wise? It's even on that guide. 3ds.guide. The standard for noobs. So why on earh are you saying don't follow it?

the guide im suggesting is easier to follow, requires fewer steps and therefore, less time. and it is as noobproof as steelminer and frogminer

Last time I checked frogminer wasn't free due to the lack of free dsi software in usa... (Guess there was one piece of obscure software nvm.)

Think this Nyko PowerPak+ in my OG 3DS is starting to expand ever so slightly 😨 what a shame, to have to go back to an OG size battery soon.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Most emulators will be like that where it asks for a parent directory
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
@Sicklyboy, 3ds batteries are fairly cheap just don't overspend on oem
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
