Hacking Help out a total noob please.

Heya,

I have this one:

Apparently Wood R4 does not work for it (didn't even know it's a clone lol), although the 1.25 version worked perfectly fine for me.

When I load Pokemon Black/White I get:

load rom errcode=-5


Please reset system.

I updated the Wood firmware to 1.26 today, and games like Pokemon Diamond/Pearl DO still work.

Am I using wrong firmware, or a corrupt ROM for Black/White or something? I tried both, patched and unpatched,


It's been ages since I installed Wood etc, would it be wise to just start all over again and completely reinstall everything? If so, anyone mind linking me to the best possible firmware for my clone, with a guide possibly?

It doesn't work because your card is a shit clone.
Buy a new card and do some research first this time.

Don't know.. but Wood doesn't have "errcode" at all.
As far as I know that's ONLY for YSMenu and DSTT.


Taiju Yamada made something called YSWood which was a Wood GUI that uses YSMenu to load games... I wouldn't doubt some shitty clone maker is passing that off as Wood for their card.

I never encountered any errcode=-4, so I don't know how I got past that.

I already knew it's a clone, but is it possible to run Pokemon Black/White? I've already replaced the .dats in the TTMenu with RetroGameFan's ones.

Does someone know what kind of clone this is? I recall reading somewhere it's a DSTT clone, would it work if I used that card's firmware?

if you have suspicion to believe its a dstt clone try the fakekillercode disabled firmware.

Meh, the new games work on my brother's M3 card, and I just ordered a SCDS2 so I think I'll just use this one as a backup, and use my brother's untill my new card is here.
