This is an odd problem. I suspect it has something to do with the CFW, so i figured this would be the right category to ask.

-Play official smash cartridge, tv mode, sound fine.
-Put in sleep mode.
-When i come back, no sound.
-Not even from switch menu.
-Restart switch, boot into atmosphere, still no sound in TV mode.
-Handheld mode has sound.

-I've ruled out hdmi cable, tv, and reciever (xbox one with same hdmi plays sound fine, smart TV plays audio fine, line-in to receiver plays everything fine).
-no settings have been changed and nothing is off in my current settings
-on 6.2 with atmosphere
-fuses and everything else are fine, still at 5, nothing's changed

This happened yesterday as well, but a restart fixed the issue. Now a restart isn't fixing it. Funny thing is it's only in TV mode. handheld mode plays sound fine. Only other odd thing is checkpoint couldn't mount my smash save right after closing it, but it was fine after I restarted. I'm not even sure how to troubleshoot the problem. Is it the base? the CFW?

im thinking it could be the dock thats causing the problem did u use any homebrew or kip files?
no sound from reboot this last time. Only homebrew that's been used so far is checkpoint. The no-sound happened after sleep-mode, which is why I was wondering if it could be CFW related.

I thought I had this problem too, but it seems a recent firmware update disables HDMI audio out when the 3.5 is in use.
Odd. Never used the 3.5 before. plugged in the headphones just now to test. They give me sound. Unplugging them, still no sound from my speakers.

is there any way to trouble-shoot whether it's the dock or not? Anything in the CFW that would mess up like this?

Try setting the audio to stereo in settings? Switch can only do linear uncompressed PCM surround.
done. same result though. Thing is, it was working fine before put into sleep. So I don't think it's a setting of any sort.

i've thought of borrowing a friend's switch to narrow it down, but it'll take a while.

*edit*
sound has come back again, after playing it in handheld mode for a little while. Still concerning as to what's happening, but hopefully it's an odd issue that'll resolve itself.

Im having same issue but can't fix this problem. How long did you have to play in hand held before you got sound on the dock again?
