First off, I've tried searching through both this forum and various tutorials (both visual and text based), but I have yet to find any solution to my rather frustrating problem.

Long story short, I have a 5.3.2 Wii U that absolutely refuses to boot into either the Homebrew Launcher or Loadiine GX2. I've tried various files (including the latest GX2 Nightly and HBL 1.2 RC3), along with various hosting sites (loadiine.ovh, wiiubrew.net, wiiubru.com, etc) to no avail. Every single time I am either met by the browser simply freezing or a black screen that has a few small white rectangles scattered about it. This has gone on for a good 30+ attempts, and I'm at wit's end trying to make this work.

I clearly have to be doing something wrong, but I just can't figure it out. For reference's sake, My SD card is formatted to FAT32 too. Again, I apologize for bugging everyone with what is probably a very simple issue to fix, but this is driving me nuts.

EDIT: Problem solved. As pointed out in this thread, updating did the trick (to firmware 5.5.1). I have no idea why this happened, but updating it instantly sorted the problem out.

Its formatted as FAT32, sure. But is it formatted to FAT32 with 64kb clusters?
Perhaps perform a filesystem check on your SD Card too, because it seems to me that HBL is actually loading, but freezes at some point before the GUI is rendered for the first time.

Have you tried self hosting with my latest AIO? 5.3.2 users are reporting it working with the "special" instructions I posted.

Yes do what Kafluke says if it still does not work it could be a problem with the sd card. I have one sd card that works on every device I own apart from the wiiu for some reason and gives me the exact problem you have my other two sd cards work perfectly on the WiiU luckily for me lol.

Do you have homebrew launcher in /wiiu/apps/homebrew_launcher/homebrew_launcher.elf ?

Download this Zip File. Then, extract it. Right-click the folder while holding Shift, then click open-command Prompt window here. Then type "Java -Jar HaxServer.jar"; this'll open a Java Executable. Now, configure some bookmarks like so...One with the URL "YOURIP/hax?kexploit10" and another one with "YOURIP/hax?launcher"; to find your IP Address, Open another Command Prompt, and type "ipconfig" and then look for the ipv4 address.

Same exact issue of simply jamming. However, my PC is showing that it successfully connected (kexploit10 US_5_3_2). The other folk are probably right that it's my SD card that's the culprit of this mess. I'll go messing around with it (reformatting it, etc) and trying a few other cards instead.

I'll look into that further. The online hosted version is giving the same issue (black screen with some white rectangles). It's most likely the SD card though, or so I'd imagine.

I'll report back later once I'm done fooling around with this thing. I swear, it was less frustrating to set up a AL9H 3DS.

    Update:

Sadly, it's still not working. Using both file packs (thanks Dr.Hacknik and Kafluke, by the way), neither of them gave any sort of success. Both simply failed to load, causing the browser's "loading" blue bar to just freeze about half way through and crash the system. I also attempted to use different SD Cards, along with doing a full (not quick) format to FAT32 with a 64Kb cluster size. For reference's sake, one of the cards is a brand new Sandisk 128Gb Micro SD with an SD adapter.

At this point, I'm utterly baffled as to what is causing this. I've tried every variation of files and exploits, and nothing seems to work.

EDIT: I noticed that the same issue occurs (black screen with white rectangles OR simply freezing the browser) even with no SD card inserted. I guess I'll try reformatting the entire system and seeing if that helps the issue.

DON'T DO THAT YET!!! YOU WILL PERMANENTLY LOSE ALL OF YOUR DATA!!!

It looks like a browser problem. I read somewhere that the browser's cache needs to be in the right place in memory on order for these hacks to work, clearing your browser data (from within its settings menu, somewhere) will move the cache in memory. Keep clearing your cache until the hacks work.

Another person on 5.3.2 having issues..

The last person that had these issues updated to 5.5.1 and reported that it worked first try. I would suggest it, but suggesting a full update is a huge thing to ask, and I don't wanna get destroyed.

It's still an option if you really wanna get GX2 working..

Make sure to think it through, though. Almost (if not) everything that works on 5.3.2 works on 5.5.1, the only real benefit to staying on 5.3.2 is for higher chances of exploiting any future vulnerabilities that may not function on 5.5.1.

Hmm, clear your Browsing data, then try using a lower capacity card (I've heard people say that they have issues, or that it doesn't work at all); i recommend a 32gb or 64gb, which, to my knowledge works fine. Also, if you don't want to self-host, go to this URL "http://loadiine.ovh", it has everything you need.

I figured that, and I haven't done it yet. Thanks for the tip though, I'll keep at it I suppose.

I'd honestly rather wait in the (vain) hope that a full exploit like IOSU appears. I just wonder how bad my luck has to be for this to happen. I even have a Vita TV that is one of the very few units on the planet that is unable to run certain games due to a hardware issue (and Sony wouldn't replace it, go figure).

I'll try a few other SD cards. The one thing I noticed about loadiine.ovh though was that it doesn't have a "Homebrew 1.2 RC3" option for 5.3.2 users. Its only option is Homebrew 1.1. Would that cause issues in trying to boot into the HBL?

Loadiine.ovh is not self hosting. Dunno why someone said that. My self host package has latest loadiine and hbl in it for 5.3.2. Did you follow all the instructions? There is a special 5.3.2 section in the instructions. Please try and report back. (I know you didn't follow my instruction in the zip because it clearly states to erase your browser data)

I used your hosted site, but I'll attempt hosting it myself. I have cleared the browser quite a few times though (clear cookies, clear save data).

After you get it up and running on the PC (and tested) you need to create direct bookmarks to the payloads. (It's in the instructions)

Same problem, sadly. The hosting works fine, but it ends in the same issue (black screen with white rectangles on it OR browser just freezes). Just to be sure, I should go into the browser, launch the homebrew launcher via http://(IP)/Wiibrew/hbl/payload532.html, and it should work, right?

I attached an image of what happens when I try to load it. From what I understand, this screen happens when the Wii U fails to load the HBL (as seen in other videos on Youtube), but mine never seems to get past this (most people say you get past it either instantly or in ~3 attempts).

How about the exploit? (Kexploit10). Are you able to launch that and get the green screen?

Same issue. Either a black screen with rectangles or the browser freezes. Sorry, I should have made that more clear. Either way, NOTHING runs on it apparently.

Hmmmm. Well aside from doing a system wipe on the WiiU I'd personally just update to 5.5.1. We've been waiting a while for IOSU and it's only speculation right now on what firmwares will be supported. Don't take my word as gospel but I'd update it. If/when the IOSU exploit comes out I won't have troubles finding a lower firmware WiiU online. Might as well enjoy full hassle free homebrew right now.
