i really need help

what are some literature/media that have the theme of hysteria?
preferably where like. a community goes mad
(like monsters due on maple street from twilight zone)

it has to be something a 15yearold girl may have watched, read, or at least heard about it.

only cuz it limits the amount of things ive read.

and i think im just gonna use the The Monster Are Due on Maple Street
cuz it was my friends idea, and i felt bad for just using it
