ok, ios236 is patched... no what? should i try to unistall the preloader and install the priiloader again?

I had hoped to avoid this, but I think the only way to remove preloader at this point is to re-install the System Menu. Normally it's something you want to avoid, because it removes preloader/Priiloader. In this case, preloader is what is actually causing the problem, and can't be removed through the installer.

For safety reasons, I want you to install 4.1E. 4.2+ try to brick your Wii if it was originally a Korean one. The best way to get it is through ModMii. Download and install it, then go into Advanced/Classic mode and download 4.1E from the first downloads page. Once you've done that, post again.

I concur, but he should dump his NAND at this point because this can fail if the System Menu randomly chooses to not install for whatever reason and just overwrites the PriiLoader. With a NAND backup he can at least extract his keys and compose a new NAND image in ohneswanzenegger should he be forced to flash using hardware.

EDIT: That's the one: http://gbatemp.net/threads/ohneswanzenegger-wii-entry-pc-software.279750/

what is that modmii, and how do i install and download it?

how do i do all this? can you guys guid me?

ModMii is a tool to download any and all update files necessary for a safe Wii softmod, you can find it here: https://code.google.com/p/modmii/

It generates guides that you can follow to update/downgrade the Wii step-by-step.

EDIT: Ninja'd by Joostin, but that's okay. :P

You'll need BootMii to make a NAND backup first, so start with that. You can find it here: http://bootmii.org/

EDIT2: Herp-a-derp, come to think of it, you've installed Homebrew Channel so you should have BootMii IOS at the very least. I should probably head to bed, I must be sleepy. :rofl2:

i dont know about that^^^

i did installed the bootmii but!! i cant see it anywhere....

its like i didnt installed it at all...
this wii is driving me crazy...

PriiLoader has an option to boot BootMii IOS - if you still have that, use that. If you've uninstalled it or attempted to uninstall it, install PriiLoader again and use that to boot BootMii IOS. Do not leave Homebrew Loader if you're not 100% certain that you have PriiLoader to land safetly on.

i cant install priiloder or unistll preloder i get error...

maybe i should try the thing with reinstalling the system menu??

Press HOME on your remote when in the HBC. When you select BootMii, use POWER and RESET to navigate the menu. Choose a NAND backup.
