Long Story short:

Yesterday got a Wii which seemed to be hacked but not completely. It had the Homebrew Channel but that was it. Not BootMii, no Priiloader, nothing.
So I've formated it and reinstalled he Homebrew Channel again, installed BootMii as IOS and already made my NAND bakcup.
But I'm not sure what's the next step. This guide tells me to use WiiMod and
It should automatically start installing the neccesary cIOS, system menu protection and 236 (in case you need it down the road) wads you need.

Can I get some assistance on this step?

ALSO COUPLE QUESTIONS:

Do I still need to patch? Trucha-Bug?
Do I still need to install Hermes and Waninkoko's cIOS?

Yeah go ahead that's all you need though I don't understand the second questiin
The second question got quite answered by itself.
I'm able to load WiiWare through SD Channel Menu.
If I'm not mistaken, way back in 2010, when Nintendo launched Wii System Update 4.3 they added the ability to export WiiWare and Virtual Console games to an SD, and thus, SD Channel Menu. I remember you needed to install a cIOS to load WiiWare from SD through it, otherwise it would throw an error.

Also... what am I missing?
I'm having troubles loading from SD with CFG USB Loader (I prefer it over USB Loader GX) and it says that IOS249 is a stub.
Here's a syscheck:

Reading a bit about IOS249, it says that it's where Waninkoko's and Hermes cIOS are installed.

This means that I still have to install Waninkoko and Hermes cIOS to load backups with CFG USB Loader.

Oh really? Let me try!

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I've done it, it keeps saying that IOS249 is a STUB.

Do you happen to know how to install it?

I did:

- Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
- Select cIOS base: 57
- Select cIOS slot: 249
- Select cIOS version: 65535

- Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
- Select cIOS base: 56
- Select cIOS slot: 250
- Select cIOS version: 65535

- Select cIOS: v10 beta52 d2x-v10-beta52
- Select cIOS base: 38
- Select cIOS slot: 251
- Select cIOS version: 65535

Yeah, I did the v8 on IOS 249 using base56.
It doesn't work.

I mean, it won't work to load CFG USB Loader.
All I want is to load from SD, so USB Loader GX and WiiFlow are not an option at the moment.

I have a question.
I've noticed that there's two versions of d2x-cIOS installer.

One from he Wii guide site simply called d2x-cIOS installer... and another one called d2x-cIOSv8 3.1.

No matter which one I use to install d2x-cIOS on IOS249, it always fails to do so.

What's the recommendation here?
