Hello.

I was using this tutorial to unlock my 3dsxl:

https://github.com/Plailect/Guide/wiki/Part-5-(arm9loaderhax-&-Cakes)

When i was on the part 5, the one to install the arm9loaderhax, my 3ds showed that the installation was successfully. But then, when the 3ds was reiniciating, he cant turn on anymore.

The charger only charge for 2 seconds and turn off the orange light.

When i push the power button, only stay on for 1 second and doesnt start the 3ds.

I did all the passes right and nothin happened until i installed arm9

Maybe is a full brick?

I putted the battery on other 3ds and function alright.

what may have happened?

Help! Thx

Is the memory card still in the 3DS? with Arm9hax, the console wont even boot if either the mem.card is not inserted, nor if it doesnt have the proper files on it.

As others have already said, your 3DS will not boot anymore without the proper files on your SD card. That means if you don't have your SD in at all, your 3DS will not boot properly.

Try starting the 3DS in safe mode

Press and hold L+R+A+Up (With the DPAD) and press the power button.

You need AuReiNand or Cakes (or another A9LH compatible CFW) installed on your SD card. Your 3DS will not boot without it. Easy way to make sure you didn't brick it is to download Decrypt9WIP, put Decrypt9WIP.bin in the root of your SD card, and rename it arm9loaderhax.bin. If your console boots into Decrypt9WIP, you just need to properly install a CFW.

Your 3DS will not boot without a functional arm9loaderhax.bin in your SD card's root.

the sd card is inside, i only took off to test it. But the 3ds wont turn on, not even for a second to try to use safe mode

Dude relax, your 3ds is not bricked!!! It was successful, download aureinand from the aureinand thread and put the arm9laoderhax.bin file from aureinand and in the aurei folder put firmware.bin and firmware90.bin

Again you are not bricked!!

It's better to post a screenshot of the folder structure of your sd card so people can help you better. I also think some files are missing that's why it's not booting.

Thx man, i really hope so. I will take my 3ds fromt the assistance today and try that o/

Like many others mentioned sounds like it's not a brick. If the blue ligh t stays solid WITHOUT the memory card In then the device is fine you just have a worked install of CFW. Make sure it's installed properly on the sd card. (I found that guide to scare me when the install happened as I forgot my firmware file....)

Can confirm i thought i had the same the other day, you just need to put Aurei on the SD and the files in the right place.

THe thing is... the blue light do not stay solid, with or without the memory card, it just stay lit for about 1 sec

If you really bricked with arm9loaderhax, you'd see a blue screen with a bootrom error code.. Turning off automatically is what happens when arm9loaderhax is installed, but can't find a payload on the SD card.
Not necessarily. If you turn it on and it just hangs then it could also be a brick.

Bootrom bricks are very rare!
