step 1- download http://www.mediafire.com/?3abrkqtwkn252sl
Read the readmii, use it to modify the bootmii folder files to load one of your nintendo channels. Once the channel loads, use the red sync button on the wii to sync the wiimote

step 2- load the HBC with original bootmii files

step 3- load wiimod, reinstall system menu and system ios

step 4- download system setting replace mod, use this to restore the setting.txt. Now this is a problem, because this app only works with gc controller. So perhaps option 2 is best.

Option 2-
Step 1- load bootmii and make new nand backup.
step 2- use ohneschwanzenegger to load the nand.bin
step 3- install system menu 4.3e
step 4- make setting.txt from ohneschwanzenegger content menu, enter proper serial number
step 5 restore nand.bin with bootmii
-no gc controller needed
-optional, make clean nand.bin by formating nand.bin with ohneschwanzenegger. Make nice clean nand, but also savegames, etc are lost.

edit- wtf, 3 dup posts.

He doesn't want to lose his old NAND, because he needs to transfer everything.

Did you get a "Server Error" message? I triple-posted last night because of that.

I didn't get any server error message. The post reply button just turned yellow. So now I sextuple-posted. (single, double, triple, quadruple, quintuple, sextuple)

If he only installs the 4.3e system menu files on the nand.bin and makes new setting.txt, all of his data would still be on the nand.bin. So when he restores the wii should work and he can to the transfer if needed. Only the nand.bin format would remove his data, but installing titles would not.

Why can't you take a break from your sucky life and try to help me a bit? It won't take long...

I hope you were being sarcastic. My problems with my wife and children are far more important that the 2 minutes I take to respond here every now and then. Even at this moment, I don't feel that your wii problems should take up any of my effort, and I'm already putting in my effort more than I care by responding to this.

Okay. Sorry to have bothered you. And no, I wasn't being sarcastic.

I'm sure he didn't mean any offense Foez. Your current situation is hardly common knowledge. If you'd like to talk, send me a PM or call me.

Listen man. I'm about an inch away from giving up on this horrible life. I know it's not your problem, and I'm sure you did not know of my problems prior to this, but please have a little heart. I've got enough going on.

I should just ignore this BS and go away from it.

But anyway,im glad that you solved your problem. And dont ever uninstall WADs without knowing what you are doing. It will mostly brick your Wii. And always have a clean NAND backup somewhere :) U are very lucky since u have boot2 installed.

Thanks everyone for the help. I ended up using mauifrog's second option. Although not everything worked out at the first try I just had be a little creative and now I've successfully restored my wii and have access to everything I had before.

Yet I still have the same issue I had before I caused this mess. Whenever I try to download the wii U transfer channel on the wii shopping channel I get an error. Everything goes well and a few seconds after I press download I get ''Error 204058 Try again later''. Does anyone have a solution to this?

EDIT: Never mind found a solution myself

Well my method won't allow a data transfer... Infact all your data will be lost :|

Try formatting your SD card to FAT32.
If that doesn't work try exFAT or FAT

Edit: You've apparently solved the SD card issue.

For future reference, find letting me know what the formats on those two cards were as well as the brands and size?

Also: You can find generally find a used GC controller for $5 at a GameStop

I used 2 micro SD adapters with 2 different micro SD's. So I basically tried 4 times. However the first micro sd was SDHC so that's probably why it didn't work and the other one I used in a Kingston micro SD adapter and a SanDisk micro SD adapter. No idea why that didn't work.

The SD card that started BootMii was only 256 MB though. To make a NAND back-up I removed that one after starting BootMii and inserted the 2 GB micro SD and it ended up working just fine.
