OK. I know this sounds REAAAAAAAAALLLY redundant when you hear this "Please help me with CFW".. :'( But I'm honestly really new to PSP scene and quite scared to just jump into something without double checking with people who know what they're doing. I did a lot of reading, but I'm still confused.. :/
So here is what I have:
So from what I'm reading, my 3001 is semi-hackable. And I'm reading about new CFWs that were just released, namely 6.35 PRO-B that can play PSX ISOs.. How would I go about doing this? Would I still follow this thread for the 300X? Download the signed-HEN and Prometheus ISO loader? Or should I instead download 6.35 PRO-B instead of the signed-HEN and go from there? Also, I've seen some threads stating that I need a POPSloader to play my PSX ISOs? Is that different from the Prometheus ISO loader?
Also, I'm not sure if I should run PSPident etc to find out my motherboard and module? Since apparently some module can determine how far I can go with my 3001.. :x
Also, I'm aware that this will all be temporary. The whole if-you-turn-it-off-you-must-do-it-again thing. :3
m(.__.)m Thanks for the help.
So here is what I have:
- PSP: PSP 3001 at OFW 6.35
- Play backup PSP ISO and PSX ISO. (PSX made from my own backups, not d/led from the PSN).
- Still be able to play UMDs. I only have Dissidia and Crisis Core, but those are pre-6.xx firmware, so not too worried about forced FW updating.
- Don't really have an interest in homebrew; except youtube plugin? but I can live without it.
