also if you buy a sky3ds and still by luck (or something) the 3ds you buy is 9.2 or lower dont update it you can use sky3ds along with cfw and have the best of both worlds

If ou buy the Majoras Mask Special Edition it will be 9.2

That's not guaranteed, even at launch there were ones with 9.4 on them.

Guys I found a shop with Majoras mask edition and Monster hunter 4 looking on the firmware version list the monster hunter edition should be guaranteed 9.2 or below right?
There is also Animal crossing edition but I think that will be too childish for me

Monster hunter ships with 9.2. Make sure you buy new though. Used might have been updated

read the thread and check the serial it can be on anything from 9.0-9.8

You don't know if Nintendo made a second run with a higher firmware like they did with the zelda models just because it's not in the thread does not mean it does not exist it simply means no one has bought it yet or reported it.

Ohh god why does this have to be so much hassle. I asked a few shop around see if they will bother telling the serial number on the box if it's even has...
If not then I will just go with a normal version and thats it.

Its not a hassle just ask to check the serial number if they ask why just tell them your looking for a specific model with a better screen. Even better just make a print out of the serial numbers with the 9.2 firmware bits omitted and ask them to check for a New 3DSXL matching those serial numbers if they cant show you in person.

Roms played on flashcart arent meant to be used for online purposes unless of course you wish to have your device blocked by Nintendo. Other than offline playing, flashcart is mainly for homebrew or other software that Nintendo themselves dont support, and not so much for online playing. Face facts most of us who own flashcarts are all pirates, so this online feature is clearly something we do not deserve

I know about the ban but you forgot the part that it's only for two weeks
Nah not really wan't to buy the games they are like 50-60$ here... Sometimes even more. Don't know why it is but I don't think so a 3DS game worth a Triple A console games price.

Incorrect there has not been a single ban for using a private header. Only for people who have used public or shared headers and those who cheat online and even then it's only a 2 week suspension with the exception of Pokemon games.

But let's not be paranoid. Only users of public headers were banned and even those are able to play online again. Just use private headers, CIA and retail games.

Okay so basically.
If I am able get an 9.2 system then get it if not then above this with sky3ds then playing with private header and good to go right?

but sky3ds is not as good as cfw but sky will get the job done
note nintendo has started up new ap method in 3ds games that sky3ds cant deal with.
currently its only like 6 games but it will likely be in all new releases
