So, I've been trying to make this work for the last 2 days and wish someone could point me to the right direction. I patched the game Tokyo Mirage Sessions with the Restoration Patch according to this thread:

https://gbatemp.net/threads/tokyo-mirage-sessions-fe-restoration.429651/

I generated a Patched version that loaded through Loadiine GX2 and worked fine.

However, I want to install the Patched version on my WiiU formatted HD, so I decided to encrypt it with NUSPacker and wupinstall.

The encrypt through NUSPacker goes smoothly, wupinstaller doesn't return any error when installing and the game icon appears in my WiiU.

BUT when I start the game it freezes. The initial screen with the game title pops up, some music is played and that's it, it gets stuck until I force reset my WiiU.

The loadiine version works fine, so I assume the problem was with NUSPacker encyption, but no error was returned at any moment. Do anyone know how to solve this? Or maybe know of some other encryption tool?

It seems I just needed to write my problem to find a solution, after posting I kept looking and found this topic:

My problem was exactly what user bubulle addressed: I had a truncated cos.xml file so it was incompatible with wupinstall (could be easily noted by the file size of 2kb instead of 4kb).

After rebuilding the xml file, I encrypted the whole thing again with NUSPacker, wupinstalled and it worked just fine.

I know this post is somewhat abandoned, but how did you manage to "rebuild" this file?

Yes, I'm wondering the same thing too. How did you "rebuild" the cos.xml file? I'm having the exact same problem here too where one of my patched games from Nuspacker freezes on startup.

Nah, this looks more like a problem of region !
When you run a US game on a EU wii u, this happens (sometimes ?).
You need to modify the region, there's Homebrew for that. (But be cautious, I tried a region patcher that froze my wii u on Haxchi startup, if this happens you need to restore your SD backup you did earlier)
