Best Buy doesn't sell fakes, either there's something else going on (bad cards are bound to happen) or you didn't actually get it from Best Buy. And sometimes devices just don't like certain cards.

Well, I have heard some bad things about them
But if you do choose another brand, go with samsung, mine are working wonderfully

Sandisk is great as well.

Problem with sandisk is that they are the most common to be faked
I bought from Amazon (NOT from a reseller ON Amazon) to make sure mine were legit.

Yeah, most fakes are Samsung or Sandisk.

But h2testw is pretty dumb if all you want to know is whether it's fake or not.

The quick test on FakeFlashTest is more than enough to tell you that and takes only a few minutes.

Not only that, you can order it from BestBuy, but did you get it actually from BB or from there marketplace? You have to tell the difference, for some reason everyone seems to have a marketplace and it pisses me off. I had newegg orders take forever and its because these dumbasses are neweggs marketplace.

This card is so bad guys... i tried the h2test in safemode. it said 6 hours.. then rebooted and it says 39 hours... i think this card had a heart attack:lol: im returning this card.

Why are you doing that when you should allow it to finish is beyond me, goes to show how impatient you are. Its no wonder your spewing rediculous hypocrisy all over the place.

Oh, just shut the fuck up. The card is obviously legit. I got it from Best Buy. I have the right to be a little impatient when I paid 14 bucks for next day shipping and Im not going to get it back for a shitty product. I did have the patience to test it for 2 hours the next time around, but like i said, it gave me two different times after that when I had to format it.

Here is how it goes.

At first it was 2 hours to test it. After that, it was 6 hours to test it. Then after that, it was 39 hours to test it. The read/write speed diminished and I dont know why. Its a problem with teh SD card. The space is there, but its a bad product. Simple as that.

LOL 14 bucks for next day? You should've walked into the store to pick it up.

For whatever price you paid, and it seems you paid a good bit, I would've bought this instead.

You can't sit there and talk about Nintendo bawlin on a budget and buy decent SD cards. PNY hasn't failed on me yet. Got a 32 class 5 in my 3dsxl and a samsung xdhc mSD in GW red card. NO ISSUES. The only CIA's I have are OOT and ALBW plus the demo MH4G.

EDIT: but if you think you "big pimpin spending G's" here you go.

A few points that may or may not apply to the situation here.

1. Every brand of card has been trashed at one time or another on the board. They fail.

2. I have only installed a couple of cias and it was with bigbluemenu. When I did I had a problem with having more than one cia in the root of the SD card. If I had more than one BBM would freeze and I could not make any selections. Others here said it shouldn't be a problem. I have not revisited the issue.

3. Card readers can get flakey as well causing all sorts of problems. The reader on my HP printer was not seeing some cards and corrupting files on transfer on others. I bought an $8 Targus sub reader at Walmart and all has been good. Just a thought.

4. The OS and or BIOS can get flakey. About twice a year or so I start having issues with HDDs not being seen by my PC and it is inconsistent seeing them one day and then not the other. What fixes it every time is resetting bios/cmos by moving a jumper and pulling the battery. Only takes a few minutes and then reconfigure some settings in bios.

Good luck.

update.. it was most likely the SD card... im having no probs on a Sandisk 64gb card.

Very strange problem you are having there, OP.

I upgraded my 4 gb pack-in SD card to a 16 gb i had laying around in a drawer. Everything worked OK for me. I followed step by step instructions which were located somewhere in this forum, i don't have the time to find it, unfortunately. Hope you figure it out soon mate!

I read up before on using a 128GB SD card for my Gateway when i was thinking of upgrading from my 16GB card. It seems like quite a lot of people encountered problems getting 128GB to work properly. You can probably do a search on it in Google to read what those people encountered. In the end, i got for myself a 64GB card which didn't seem to work.... Then i bought again another 32GB one which worked fine. So i'm on the 32GB card for now...
