Hacking Hello and a few questions

Hello folks,
I am new to the game,pardon the pun.
I have a few questions if anyone could help.
I tried playing a PAL game on my NTSC wii and well i get a black and white screen with good ole horizontal lines scrolling.
My question is this.
Can i play PAL games on my console?
If yes,what do i need to remedy the problem?

You can try using RegionFrii to convert it to NTSC.
Are you using Gamma?

Assuming you are using (because you didn't say how do you run your backups) the Gamma Launcher, you need to FORCE NTSC your PAL games, change that in the configurations of the launcher...!!!!

i use wiizle diizle shiizle to remove updates and patch the region. mostly it works (99%). otherwise i boot the game through the gecko region free 1.5...

Put Force NTSC on
If it's an original, use Gecko OS else use Backup launcher Gamma

EDIT: if it asks to update, DON'T

Thanks peeps for the replys.
I am using gamma on a soft modded machine.
I downgraded the firmware to 2.2U
I m not sure if that will effect gameplay,should i upgrade to 3.2..or does it even matter?

I shall try forcing NTSC.
