Hacking Health and safety dump error

Hi,

I have been following Plailect's guide and got to the bit where I need to dump the health and safety, it keeps coming up with the below error;


Code / Crypto: CTR-N-HACP / 7x
Slot0x25KeyX not set up
This wont work on o3ds < 7.x or A9lh
Health&safety Dump: failed!

It came up the same error on hourglass9 and decrypt9. I have a n3ds and a9lh is setup all fine. I asked on a couple of other similar threads, but haven't been able to find a solution. Can anyone help at all?

I think the guide might use aeskey now. Is there a file starting with "aes" in SD/files9/?

Yes, aesdkeydb.bin is in there.

Well then the last thing I can suggest would be to try to find the Slot0x25KeyX key (Google is your friend), put it into files9 and try the "build database" option in d9 to see if it adds it. Then try again. If that doesn't work then I'm out of ideas.

OK, is it a .bin file? Are they 3ds specific (I saw a generator when I just googled)?

Also does decrypt9 require a PC (to run go.bat). I've been using an android phone up to this point as I don't have access to a PC.

OK, that worked, health and safety dumped ok. But now when I try to inject fbi the only selectable files are hs.app and hs1.app. Nothing fbi related. I definitely copied them into the folder. On a side note I'm in the h&s inject screen. How do i come out? The only option is to press a to choose a file. Can i just power off or will that cause damage?

Sorry for the late response, you copied the dumped h&s.app to pc/android and had the FBI cia injected after running go.bat right? That should make a new hs.app to inject. Also for exiting the screen I'm sure powering off doesn't hurt it as long as your not dumping/injecting at the time. (That is if b doesn't work)

Edit: Ignore what I said, hadn't seen the new injection. Did you get the FBI injectable.app for your region and try that?

Perhaps placing only the injectable.app that you need into files9. That might help it. If not try renaming the one you need to something along the lines of hs2.app, if that works then maybe it was a problem with the name.

Someone one here kindly injected my fbi file manually. So now h&s is fbi, but it won't install fbi.cia, lumaupdater.cia and hblauncher_loader.cia. fbi sees them, but the only options are copy, delete etc but no install. Also I put a game .cia in there just to see, that can install, but the install fails. It says invalid state. Have you ever encountered that?

That's odd, and no I haven't encountered that before. I'm one that knows little to nothing when it comes to fbi errors, mayhaps someone here has had the same problem on another thread?

What did you do before this? It looks like you injected it but then updated or injected the original back.
If you injected then updated you have to inject again as it got overwritten.

i injected FBI, then injected back the hs.app, not sure what went wrong but the icon refused to go away..anyway, if it can't be fixed, i know the safety precautions anyway on how to use my 3DS without being electrocuted LOL..

edit: already downgraded and installed a9lh+luma on 3 3DS's and 1 2DS and this is the first time the H&S app is acting up..

Use Cthulhu and clear your icon cache.
