Gaming HDD recovery

I have this hard drive with corrupt NTFS indexing, but the files are still intact. I want to know what is the best file recovery software in this case.

It does not walk, as the disk is not even recognized because of the bad NTFS index. It wants me to reformat.

there is a program called testdisk that *should* fix the corruption. here's a good guide on how to use it here http://www.techsupportforum.com/hardware-s...r-computer.html
