I am not saying that you can't use it for homebrew ,because I don't care.

....but most people on this forum pirate stuff, and well yeah.

Stop questioning jan,and telling him he shouldn't do that or this.
Of course, I'm pirating too, maybe not VC games but normal games, I have like 30 games on flashcard and about 20 wii/gamecube games. So stop bothering people with legal stuff.

If homebrew is illegal then Nintendo would be trying to shut down homebrew sites like what they've done to some rom sites.

yeah shouldn't you be copyrighting somewhere else?

lets think, why do we have a release news, modchip and flashcard forums, and a tutorial on how to install wads via your legal twilight hack?

Too much problem for them. Really, do you believe that some nintendo guy trying to down GBAtemp? There's homebrew too.

it's not against people pirating stuff (there is no way this could be avoided, it' a matter of personal sense of morality), it's against people invoking lame excuse to justify what they do

stealing is stealing, assume

Homebrew is not legal? Why do you think its forbidden to post links to ISOs and ROMs here and not for homebrew stuff?

And stealing Wiiware is more destructive because some wiiware games are from independent devs trying to make a decent living.

NO/dude, homebrew is maybe for us legal BUT NINTENDO DON'T WANT IT ON THEIR CONSOLE, THEY HAVE RIGHTS FOR CONSOLE AND THEY DON'T WANT HOMEBREW.THUS IT'S ILLEGAL FOR THEM.

what's the difference anyway ?

the reason you pirate is simple, like anybody else: you take what is free & easy and you don't care if it's illegal or not, you goal is to have fun, whatever the means are

stop talking about money problems or the fact you can not download stuff, do you hi-jack people in the street because they have something you want but can't afford it ? did you steal your computer or you internet connection too ?

and yes, emulators ARE legal as long as they don't include proprietary code, ROMS & BIOS are illegal because of this reason, and it does not matter if you own the legal cartridge or not because public ROM distribution is illegal... see the difference ?

In the past, in the context of the wii, nintendo has expressed an open mind towards homebrew

Nintendo doesn't want homebrew because people exploit it to steal their games. Homebrew programs, per se, is not illegal.

precisely, no more arguing.
On the subject of software iso loaders, if you cant even go through the discipline of buying and installing a chip yourself, then i cant figure out how to finish that sentence

im sorry if this came to a forum war

but really the last time i checked ,shinster, its none of your business what i have on my wii and its not our business if you like to spend your money for your games

In the past I would have Playstation than a Wii. Now they don't want it, and we want, as well as they don't want pirated games. Oh and I have cooled down the font a little

THIS LINE MEANS END OF POSTING
